The Problem

Educational access is fundamentally unequal. Whether you’re born in Sri Lanka, China, or the US, your learning opportunities shouldn’t depend on geography. At 15, this felt like something that could be solved with technology.

The Process

1

Co-founded Ediphy with classmates in a high school entrepreneurship class in Oslo. The vision was bold: a "Facebook for education" — a global platform where everyone has equal educational opportunities regardless of where they’re born.

2

Built a flat model focused on equality and equal connections across the world. The platform attracted real support — a major Oslo law firm offered pro bono legal advice, and Microsoft provided services. For a high school project, it punched way above its weight.

3

The team dissolved when everyone graduated high school. But the experience was transformative — it proved that ideas from teenagers could attract serious backing and inspired the confidence to start bigger ventures.

The Outcome

Though Ediphy didn’t survive graduation, it was the catalyst for everything that followed. It sparked the conviction that building things is better than talking about them, and that age is just a number when the idea is right.
