Chosen as the youngest person ever to attend Crown Prince Haakon’s SIKT leadership conference. A room full of Norway’s top leaders — and a teenager.
SIKT is Crown Prince Haakon’s annual leadership conference, established in 2013 to create a meeting place for Norway’s most promising young leaders aged 20–40. Around 200 participants are selected each year from every sector. Getting in as a teenager was not part of the program’s design.
Selected as the youngest person to ever attend the conference. The room was filled with Norway’s top leaders from business, government, culture, and technology — people in their 30s with established careers.
The experience was about listening as much as contributing. Learning how Norway’s leaders think, what they prioritize, and how they navigate the intersection of ambition and responsibility.
A formative experience that shaped how I think about leadership. Being the youngest person in any room teaches you to lead with substance, not status.
